Time’s up for TikTok.. Hur’s Story hijacks Women’s HerStory month and gets more press than Brian Butler, Trump’s ‘Employee Number 5‘, who speaks out on CNN about moving docs for Trump before the raid!

Trump’s delay tactics outpace the accountability clock ahead of the election. Guess it’s going to be up to us to save democracy and our rights at the ballot box this Roevember! The Presidential Race is set.. Let’s get ready to rumble..

Ever ask yourself ‘How did we get here’? Check out ‘Democracy in Chains’, by Nancy MacLean. Released in 2017, it basically offers an exposé of the right’s relentless campaign to eliminate unions, suppress voting, privatize public education, stop action on climate change, and alter the Constitution.

Even before the rise of MAGA layered on top of all this mess, a secretive political establishment with long, deep, and troubling roots worked with billionaires to take over our government. The capitalist radical right has been working to fundamentally alter the rules of democratic governance.

Political economist James McGill Buchanan and his colleagues executed the movement over six decades to alter every branch of government to disempower the majority.

Buchanan forged his ideas in a last gasp attempt to preserve the white elite’s power in the wake of Brown v. Board of Education. In response to the widening of American democracy, he developed a diabolical plan to undermine the majority.

Once multibillionaire Charles Koch discovered Buchanan, he funded a relentless, multi-armed machine to carry out Buchanan’s strategy.

Buchanan’s ideas and Koch’s money caused the stealth takeover of the Republican Party. Based on ten years of unique research, Democracy in Chains tells a chilling story of right-wing academics and big money run amok.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney delivered her “Time for Choosing” speech at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in June 2022.

During the speech, then-Rep. Liz Cheney praised former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who testified before the House panel investigating the Capitol riot, as a model for young women and made the truism joke.

“Let me also say this to the little girls and the young women who are watching tonight: these days, for the most part, men are running the world and it is really not going that well,” Cheney said to laughter and applause from the crowd.

“The power is yours and so is the responsibility,” Cheney said, addressing young women.

Ousted by her GOP colleagues after being one of only a few Congressional Republican voices to stand up against Trump and his crimes, Cheney stood strong for her principles and did not succumb to peer pressure.

While she is no longer in Congress, Cheney continues to speak truth to power. Her book, ‘Oath and Honor‘, was a bestseller in 2023. She now runs a Political Action Committee to beat Donald Trump called The Great Task.

Incumbent Summer Lee (D) has a challenger in the Democratic primary election for Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District on April 23, 2024.

Lee was first elected to the U.S. House in 2022 after previously serving in the state House. Lee is a progressive whose priorities include education, voting accessibility, raising the minimum wage, and the environment. When she announced her re-election bid, Lee said: “My voting patterns, everything that I do, the resources I fight for, are for working class people. They’re for Black and brown people … They’re for everybody in this region”.

Also, in October 2023, Lee co-sponsored a resolution calling for a cease-fire to the Israel-Hamas war. Lee proclaimed “We stand here to say that we will fight against any more pain that will come.” Lee said “the conflict “elicits deep pain in multiple communities … “The reality is that peace—a just and lasting peace—has to start with centering all of the folks who are impacted.”

In summary, Lee fights for Environmental Justice, Economic Justice and Union Jobs, and Justice Reform among several other progressive issues. Hence she fights for bold solutions to our biggest crises and is endorsed by progressive lawmakers from The Squad to Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Gooo Summer!

Abortion is illegal in Oklahoma, and that includes medicine that will induce an abortion, like mifepristone.

Now, there is a push to prosecute anyone who distributes or possesses with the intent to distribute abortion-inducing drugs.

House Bill 3013 has already passed in the House, a bill that would make it a felony to distribute or possess with the intent to distribute abortion-inducing drugs when the purpose is to cause an abortion for another person.

“This is a bill to limit the trafficking of chemical abortion pills,” said Representative Denise Crosswhite Hader, who authored HB3013.

She even lied about the possibility the drugs could cause an ectopic pregnancy, stoking fear and propagating disinformation.

Representative Crosswhite Hader says this legislation also limits what people can use these drugs for legally.

She says some of these pills are used for chemotherapy, and these pills can also be used under the care of their doctor if their pregnancy is not working or isn’t viable.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on how patients can access mifepristone, the commonly used abortion pill, on March 26th.
